Fab Freebie: His Publisher

We’ve been buying photobooks from  for a couple of years now, and when they offered up a $500 gift card for one of you, we said heck yeah. In addition to our annual family yearbooks, I recently bought some Mother’s Day gifts from them for Sherry and our moms. So if you’re so inclined to whip something up for another parental holiday (hint, hint – Father’s Day is June 15) there’s still time. And today is the start of our favorite promotion () which has saved us upwards of $80 on past orders.

Please use the Rafflecopter widget below to enter (it might take a second to load, but it should eventually pop up below this paragraph). This giveaway is available to the United States, Canada, Europe and !

Okay, so this is one of those you won’t care, but it’s crazy to me.. kind of like when people try and tell you about their dreams – you don’t care, but they really do. We had our wedding May 10th, and just got our digital photos back and came scouring your blog yesterday for which online site you use to make your albums and actually have an album sitting in My Publisher pending until I get an awesome coupon (or now this crazy awesome deal). Anyway… back to whatever you were doing!

I first saw your family yearbook a few years ago and checked out their website. Since then, I’ve done 2 books with My Publisher and remain very impressed with the quality of the book construction and how amazing my pictures look in those books. I like how they don’t try and pigeonhole me into a style or theme. I have a few years of catching up on my family albums, but I have gone from scrapbooking with paper, scissors, glue and tape in big bulky albums, to slim and streamlined digital books. Imagine how much I have saved in just photo processing! I couldn’t be happier and so glad you shared your book through your blog.

I can not wait to try this site out. This summer I am teaching my 9 year old to cook and I plan on documenting it with pictures. I plan on making him a book at the end of the summer including all the recipes he used, pics of him shopping for ingredients (because getting all the ingredients sure seems like a part of cooking to me!), pics of him cooking and pics of his finished meals. Kind of like a what I learned this summer book that he can always keep!

MyPublisher has made me a book-publishing fool! So far this year, I put together a 2013 yearbook, two gift books of our baby’s first year, a Mother’s Day book for each grandmother, and our (six year overdue) wedding album. The quality is great, and if you watch for promotions the prices are really reasonable. Another great recommendation from the YHL folks!

Love this! I just ordered two wedding photo albums from Shutterfly (one for the ceremony/family photos and one for the reception – I had a hard time editing photos). Stacking discounts meant I could buy two 100-page albums for $200. Much better deal than the $1,700 for a 20-page album our photographer offered. I’d love to check out MyPublisher as well!

OK, so the free pages promo gives me just FIVE days to assemble a book with probably several hundreds of photos representing our daughter’s first year (she’s 19 months now, so yeah, I’m a bit behind). I have the photos mostly selected and in folders on my PC. Do you think I can do it in about 10-12 hours between now and the 9th?

A $500 gc would be awesome – a copy for every family member and Christmas gifts would be done!

I think you can! I would guess it’ll take about 7 hours. Ours used to take that long (spread out over a few evenings) because it was harder to whittle things down, but now they only take us around 4.

In 2010 I created a folder to place all Wedding/Graduation invites, Christmas picture cards and obituaries of close friends and family members and other memorabilia. In addition all my digital photos were stored in a 2010 folder. This was all intended to create a family year book. I have 3 complete folders and currently stuffing one for 2014! I promise if I win this I will get these created! Thanks for the offer.

That’s such a cute idea! I’m not sure if they come like that, but I bet you could add one in the back (just use pretty tape to add a cardboard flap, which you could even cover with pretty wrapping paper to give it a pattern) and then stick items like that inside. So cool!

    • Lindsey says

      June 5, 2014 at 10:24 am

You can buy little clear, adhesive pockets at any scrapbooking or craft store. You just peel and stick them wherever you want them. Maybe just leave a ‘blank’ spot on pages you want to add a pocket and when the book comes, you stick those in. I may do that myself. Great idea!
